Zhu Liqun is a senior Master of Arts and Crafts, a member of the Shanghai Society for the Study of Folk Literature and Art, a member of the Shanghai Arts and Crafts Association, and director of the Paper Art Professional Committee. Working in art and industrial design for over 30 years, he has won many awards at large art design contests in China. The Zhu Liqun Paper Art Museum, formally launched in June 2010 in Shanghai, displays thousands of works of paper art including furniture, lamps, sculpture, decorative carvings in relief, and human figures. All were designed and created by Zhu Liqun and his team over a span of ten years. Super interesting book - learnt a lot about black life in America. Very moving and brilliantly written. One of my favorites of this year.

“How did we end up here? My key works, but you won’t let me in.”Celestial and Roy are made for each other, even though their relationship is not without fights. But they always manage to get together again. Some issues are hot topics - their different backgrounds, their families, having a child - so they try to avoid them. But sometimes these things come up nevertheless and one evening, their quarrel escalates. Fifteen minutes should be enough to cool down. But these fifteen minutes will change their lives, their fates and all the dreams they had for their future together. Nothing will be anymore as it was the next morning.Tayari Jones’ novel hits you like a hammer. You cannot read it without getting involved deeply and asking yourself the question: how would I react in their place? What I loved utterly was the author’s way of foreshadowing: telling you that a meteor was to crash their lives or that this was their last happy evening for a long time; this creates an almost unbearable suspense, you absolutely want to know what is going to happen and thus, you surely cannot put down the book.All in all, the story is a quite unique ménage à trois. On the one hand, Celestial and Roy, wed for some months and still somehow at the beginning of their common life. On the other hand, there is Andre who has been a friend of Celestial since their days in kindergarten, who befriended Roy in college and who actually made them acquainted with each other. Long hidden feelings for Celestial can no longer kept buried when she is in need of a shoulder to lie on. Reading the story as it is, you cannot really blame anyone for what they do. It just happens, but it doesn’t make you really happy either. Especially when compared to their parents’ marriages: a deep affection that lasts over decades and that survives even the biggest crises.Apart from this, the novel is also highly critical in several respects: the American legal system, the way blacks are still treated today and have to fight harder than others and also the question of what makes a man a man and a father a father. A lot of food for thought written in a light style which is full of splendid metaphors that I absolutely adored.

Why can't you talk to me like I'm a man?""A man has feelings, you know.""When man talk, it's not a pretty kind of conversation."Über 300 Seiten verteilt, war mir das irgendwann recht viel, zumal die Story nur dafür dient, um genau diese großen Emotionen zu erzeugen.Insgesamt ist das Buch aber ordentlich geschrieben, und auch, wenn ich die Charaktere und ihre Verhaltensweisen übertrieben und dadurch unglaubwürdig dargestellt fand, blieb bei mir hängen: Wenn du in den USA schwarz bist, kannst du schon mal trotz einer Aussage-gegen-Aussage für 12 Jahre ins Gefängnis kommen.

Ein wunderschöner Kalender mit einmalig schönen Fotos. Ein muss für alle Hundeliebhaber. Ich habe gleich zwei davon. Einer hängt zuhause, einer im Büro. Da hat sich auch gleich schon jemand angemeldet der diesen Kalender unbedingt haben will wenn das Jahr vorbei ist. Wegen der tollen Bilder die wirklich außergewöhnlich schön sind.

Es sind ganz tolle Bilder. Der Kalender ist wunderschön, hat eine gute Größe. Und jeder Hundeliebhaber ist entzückt. Ich überlege mir den Kalender für 2018 auch schon vorzubestellen!!

Der Kalender ist ein wirklich sehr hochwertiges Produkt mit einfallsreichen Fotos - dafür bin ich bereit einen höheren Preis zu zahlen!Einfach etwas besonderes.Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und reibungslos.

Ich würde mich wieder für diese Fotos entscheiden. Jeder Monat ist eine Freude. Viel besser als die Serie "Hunde unter Wasser", die sich inzwischen abgenutzt hat.

Als Hundehalter mag ich diese Tiere sehr und habe schon das vierte Jahr einen Hundekalender im Büro hängen. Aber dieser ist mit Abstand der lustigste. So entzückende Fotografien, die mich immer wieder zum Lachen bringen. Da ist es fast schade, wenn ein Monat um ist. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ein wunderbarer Kalender. Nicht nur für Hundefreunde. Die Bilder machen einfach gute Laune. Also: kaufen, kaufen, kaufen. Damit ist alles gesagt.

Entzückende Fotografien! Der Kalender zaubert mir immer ein Lächeln auf die Lippen, wenn mein Blick darauf fällt. Was will man mehr?

Ich kaufe mir jedes Jahr einen Hundekalender, aber das ist der schönste, den ich je hatte. Tolle Hunde, tolle Bilder, tolle Fotografin. Wir haben unseren Hund auch von Frau Vogelsang fotografieren lassen und waren absolut begeistert.
